Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal career is focused on family law. She has a love for it. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony issues, marital property division child custody battles, and child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce and enforcement matters such as step-parent adoptions and private party adoptions, as well as concerns about child welfare. Ashley has been as a mediator appointed by a court since the year she assists parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the needing court involvement. Ashley mediates private cases and also court-appointed mediation for individuals who want to stay clear of court processes and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. When she graduated in 2013, she excelled academically, ranking among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an Editor of the Notes at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This proved her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship, working for prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She had the pleasure of serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. Subsequently, in 2014 she returned to her home town of Hagerstown to be a clerk for Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her main responsibilities at the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters related to child welfare. Ashley's devoted efforts were instrumental in helping children who were victims of neglect or abuse at the of their caregivers or parents. Her commitment to social injustice transcended her legal career when she was an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She was a tireless worker to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she became a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the area of family law including divorce child support, custody, and guardianships - aswell in estate planning - wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxy - and mediation.

Ashley started Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023, with the goal of providing an individual approach to each client's needs.
